The 2nd Class!!..

Assalamu'alaikum
Greetings everyone..:)
Just wanna share with you guys...in this second telecommunication and networking class, we learned about the characteristics, ways and forms data travel. Everyday we use the technology, but do you know in what way the data that we always use travel?..actually, those data travel or reached to us in series or parallel form, analog or digital form, bandwidth and transmission timing, transmission directions, circuit switched, packetswitched, and broadcast connections. Then, we learned about the three types transmission timing which are synchronous, asynchronous and isochronous. Directions of data transmission are simplex and duplex. Two types of the duplex are half duplex and full duplex.  Simplex means the data sent can only travel in one way or one way communication. For example..

Half duplex means data can travel in both direction but only in one direction at one time. Like a walkie-talkie...

While for full duplex, data can moves in both directions at the same time. Like in this picture..

Then, we learned about circuit switched, packet switched, and broadcast connections. In circuit switched, data sent use a fixed path from sender to receiver but for packet-switched, data were sent as individual packets which are assembled at the recepient's destination. Maybe this could help you..

You got what I mean?..hehe..now let's move on to another subtopic which is data compression. well, as we all know, we compress something to save space right?? Roughly, data compression encoding information using fewer bits than the original representation. It is useful in communication because enable devices to store or transmit data in fewer bits. This is the thing that will happen if you do not compress your data properly...

hahaha..so, do compress your data if you can..hehe..see you..
